In pursuit of her doctorate, Dr. Sam helped to open and establish Sports Concussion Institute (Atlanta location) where she was responsible for conducting baseline assessments for student and professional athletes, as well as contributing to the research used to form the Return to Play protocols for the NFL. She later attended Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia, before receiving both her Masters and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California where she specialized in Neuropsychology.
From a young age, Dr. Sam had a passion for medical services on the island of Bermuda and was determined to contribute to the quality of health care available to her country.
